The HTC One runs on the 4.1.2 version of Android Jelly Bean and sports a full Gorilla Glass 2 covered 4.7 inch Super LCD3 1080p pixel screen. The device is powered by the 1.7GHz quad-core Krait 300 processor and a 2,300 mAh Li-Po battery. Apart from 2GB of RAM, the device brings along storage space of either 32GB or 64GB. Users can transfer data using NFC, DLNA, direct Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or 4G and 3G connections. What makes the device special is the 4 megapixel Ultrapixel camera on the back which delivers excellent photographs combined with LED flash, autofocus and a 28mm wide-angle lens.
The One has an aluminum unibody with speakers on the front incorporating BoomSound technology. The device comes with a standard 3.5mm audio jack and a mic with noise cancelling features. Though the phone is not as light as most competing handsets and the metallic framework of the phone tends to make it a little slippery than usual, it still boasts of a rather premium build. The device is also a proof of HTC gradually moving away from physical buttons. The BlinkFeed feature on HTC One helps move the device away from traditional home-screens and towards a rather unique social-centric focus (like Facebook Home).
The HTC One is available with Three on 2 year contracts with monthly payments of £34 or £36 with no upfront costs and texts and call offers. EE also offers the phone a 2 year-long contract at £31 per month for a price of £129.99, depending on the package of texts, calling time and data usage offered.
